Gajah Tiga Cafe in Maluri is a laid-back café tucked within Hotel Maluri that effortlessly blends local Malaysian flavors with some Western comfort food, making it a convenient spot for breakfast, lunch, or a casual teatime gathering. The café’s décor channels modern Malaysian vibes—simple and cozy without overpowering the experience—creating an inviting space to unwind or catch up with friends and colleagues.

Locals often stop by mid-morning or around lunchtime, drawn not just by the affordable prices but also by the generous portions typical here. The menu features familiar favourites like nasi lemak and mee hoon goreng telur mata, alongside dishes such as pilaf rice with blackpepper lamb and butter chicken sado, offering a balanced mix for those craving both local and mildly westernized tastes.

What stands out is the staff’s relaxed and friendly approach, helping keep the atmosphere easygoing without being too quiet or too busy. This makes it a practical lunch spot for nearby workers or a comfortable choice for a casual client meeting over coffee or watermelon juice. The coffee itself, served locally as "Gagah Coffee," complements the food well, rounding out the café’s appeal for those looking to enjoy a simple, satisfying meal paired with a good brew.

Overall, Gajah Tiga Cafe works best for anyone seeking a fuss-free, everyday dining experience with a local touch—not a trendy hangout, but rather a reliable neighbourhood café where meal quality and portion sizes offer solid value. Mornings and early afternoons tend to be the prime times to visit, especially for the breakfast menu that wraps up by 11:30 AM.

A decent hotel café that has a simple menu of both local and western cuisines. Price is pretty reasonable for a café and the quality is adequate with generous portions. Staff offered friendly service and the café had a nice atmosphere, a suitable place to take clients for teatime.

Gajah Tiga is Hotel Maluri’s relaxed, cozy café offering breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as delicious teatime snacks and drinks from classic Malaysian recipes collected by the owner over a lifetime of travels and served in a café designed in a modern Malaysian style. ps the pricing here is super reasonable & portion is very generous ⭐ Value for price 1. ???????????????? ???????????????? ???????????????????????????????? (RM23) - Tuna sandwich with melted cheese served in fresh homemade baguette with seasoned fries. The portion size at Gajah Tiga lives up to its name. Get ready to feast at this neighbourhood cafe as their sandwich is enormous Tuna Melt is the ultimate sandwich with a flavorful tuna fish mixture, slices of cheddar cheese, freshly sliced tomatoes all melted together in a skillet on a thick, crispy golden bread. This sandwich will literally melt in your mouth! The bread is made freshly in house by their professional bakers and you can tell by the fluffiness of it The jumbo size might be intimidating, but once you get a good bite of it, you can’t stop going in for more This is a meal so simple yet so decadent, that an overarching sense of euphoria prevails throughout. Not to mention how good the fries and salad at the side were 2. ???????????????????? ???????????????????? (RM12) - Founder's family recipe, passed down 3 generations. Prawn fritters served with Thai Chilli Sauce The cucur udang here isn’t like any other!! Here me out It’s soft, slightly doughy and fluffy so it gives a nice chew to it; plenty of fresh prawns which are peeled (I love how they removed the shell); the batter used was mouthwatering Pair it with their Thai Chilli sauce which is packed with heat and sweetness at the same time Golden goodness ⭐ 3. ???????????????? ???????????????? ???????????????? ???????????????????????????? (RM6) - A hotel serving Roti Jala at RM6 only?! So affordable and they do not compromise on the taste! The curry is packed with oomph and a heartwarming deluge of curry richness The Roti Jala itself was a masterpiece but what really brought out the beauty in this dish was their thick flavourful potato curry which was flawlessly executed Chef Kiss 4. ???????????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????????????? (RM34) - Their special Sado Sauce is a creamy butter chill sauce created in 2014 using a unique recipe. Deep fried breaded prawns served in signature Sado Sauce, accompanied with garlic fried rice, salad & clear soup. A complete set or shall I say a killer combo The sado sauce was rich, creamy, and also imbued with elegant curry leaf fragrance, subtle spice notes, and a touch of heat. The buttermilk sauce was hella good, kinda wish they gave more as it was finger licking good Quite the delightful medley of buttery richness, oceanic flavours, and sprightly chilli padi. 5. ???????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????? (RM18) - Stir-fried rice vermicelli with chicken squid, prawns and vegetables and a fried egg Nice dish if you’re craving something light as the mee hoon isn’t heavily flavoured. The prawns were super fresh too 6. ???????????????????????????????? ???????????????? ???????????? ???????????????????? (RM8) - Gajah Tiga’s signature Chocolate Brownies served with ice cream and chocolate drizzle The brownie was super fudgy, moist, and chocolaty, with crispy edges and crackly tops So sinful yet delightful My newfound guilty pleasure. The ice cream melts from the hot fudgey brownies making it extra creamy and moist! Can’t think of a better duo 7. ???????????????????????????? ???????????????? (RM8) - Spicy and fishy Loved the flaky puff pastry! 8. ???????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????? (RM12) - Pretty good - the key lime taste was prominent and gave it a refreshing touch 9. ???????????????????????????????? ???????????????????? ???????????????? ???????????????????? (RM15) & ???????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????? (RM10) - It’s so thiccc and indulgent The hazelnut one was very nutty and if you’re basic like me, you can go for the classic choco milkshake as it won’t disappoint

the french toast is unlike what I expect a french toast is, but surprisingly it works! the lontong is average (3.8/5) overall. limited menu, but price is okay and the space is quite comfortable need to pay for car park or can park outside the hotel.

Our team had a buffet dinner hosted at Gajah Tiga Cafe, and it was a great spot for fun, food, and fellowship. The staff were attentive and catered to our needs with care. The food was generally good—though some dishes could be improved, we still enjoyed the variety. What made the evening extra special was the availability of microphones, allowing us to emcee the night and even enjoy some karaoke performances. Overall, it was a memorable night, and we just might come back for another round!
